It has been so long since I bothered to write anything here that I guess one or two people might think I have failed and gone back to the dark side (thanks Chad for giving me a reminder). So I thought it would be timely to bring things up to date…
I am now in my sixth month (6 months!) without cigarettes. That means I have been a non-smoker for almost half of the year – or for the complete duration of 2006 to date. Is that an achievement or what? Just in case you fail to grasp the magnitude of that, then let me bring you up to speed:-

Forgive me if I sound like I’m boasting or something, but I am! It hasn’t been plain sailing and there have been some ups and downs (as regular readers will know). But I stuck with it and I still haven’t given in to temptation, and that makes me a successful quitter, which is quite an achievement I think.
