So glad you’re all doing so well and are still there for each other.
Peggy’s post makes a lot of sense. I can tell you’ve been where I am. My marriage ending was like a death and I need to be able to give 100% to a quit which I can’t do right now.
Because there is so much turmoil in my life I have to focus on my son, my job and my health (even though I’m still smoking). I can’t let this situation get the better of me.
I am doing ok although I have my rough days. When the time is right I will quit. I just hope I can quit before an illness makes me quit.
I know I don’t post as often but I do read your comments almost every day. Stay strong everyone!!!
Hugs,
Tammy

stop smoking hypnosis
Its harder to stop smoking. But smoking is so dangerous for life. I have tried many ways to stop smoking but they worked only for certain period and again started to smoke. Because of smoking I have faced lot of health related problem. Later my friend advised to try hypnosis and suggest to go for

Really I found enormous changes in myself and got good improvement in my confidence and control. After consulting the Hypnotist and attending various sessions I have stopped smoking.
Yes, you should quit smoking Tammy. Your son needs you and it will be harder for you and for your son if you got sick. There are solutions that will help you quit and other alternative that will still give you the pleasure but not the risk.
hey guys check this site out stop smoking now perphaps it may help some to stop smoking.
It is best to quit in a stressful period. If you are able to pass through this period without smoking, you should be able to do away in any situation. I have not quit, I am starting and I know it is really really tough. This is just my second day and i feel the cravings are going to kill me. However, the part is once I am able to live this period I should get through. Read this http://whyquit.com/joel/ntap.pdf
It is a very very nice book on smoking related issues. It gave me a lot of inspiration and help. I hope it helps you too. All the best
Hey everyone just wanted to tell you that I came across something that helped me quit. It's called the electronic cigarette, it is amazing you must check it out. Here is where I got mine… Electronic Cigarettes
The fear of going through what many smokers expect to be a horrible experience of quitting only to fail and start smoking again is sometimes enough to keep some smokers from ever even trying to quit

Good luck!
Nicorette Patch
Smoking gets adicted more and more. Though there are many therapies available, its very hard to leave smoking. I found a resource that talks of smoking without harm. This will surely help:-

SMOKING SOMETHING WITHOUT THE CHEMICALS IN CIGARETTES MIGHT BE A GREAT WAY TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER.
-NO ‘ASHY MOUTH TASTE’
-NO ‘STINKY SMELLING HAIR/CLOTHES’
-NO CHEMICALS
-ALL THE NICOTINE YOU WANT OR DON’T WANT-
-NEVER WASTE ANOTHER FULL CIGARETTE FOR ONE HIT!

TAMMY!!!
TAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
Hi anyone out there still??
TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmmeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Hi everyone, I’ve created a blog until Tammy comes back so that you all will have a place to write to one another, and I will keep typing on how my quit is going as well.
Here is the link, http://peggy-freedom.blogspot.com
Molly,
There are lots of different sites out there that can provide some support with your quit. I don’t know if you’re going cold turkey or not but if you are, try whyquit.com. There is lots and lots of stuff to read and msg boards as well.
Although I’m behind Peter,Jo, Fred and the rest with my quit (about 6 weeks now) this blog and the comments have been a big help to me so although I won’t (and never have) post every day necessarily I will continue to poke around.
Best,
neil
Dear all,
I’m sorry there isn’t a way to continue this blog, because I still value the advice and friendly comments.
It was this blog that helped me quit, and although I can hear Fred warning about the nicodemons (!!) I’m sure I won’t start again.
It would be a shame to lose the friendships started here, so I’ll hang around awhile yet.
Best wishes to you all
I know. I liked the blog. It does feel alittle tired. But, I enjoyed having new friends from around the world that were going through what I was going through. Molly, hang in there. Really try to read that book “Alan Carr’s method to quit smoking”. I thought it helped. At least, it seemed like it shifted your thinking quite a bit. Instead, of thinking of quitting as such a sacrifice you felt more empowered. You really aren’t missing or giving up anything. Hang in there. I still am going to check on this blog here and there. But, I want to thank everyone for being encouraging. It really does help with the quit process. I really didn’t think it would, but I was wrong. Darlene
Well I’m still here and struggling and maybe Tammy will be back with us soon so I’m staying. The long term successful quiter’s probably don’t need the blog anymore but I certainly do. I find the blog much easier to navigate than the forum at about.com. I get lost over there and don’t really know what to do.
So I’m staying. I hope there are a few others who want to stay too. I desperately want to be an ex smoker and so far I haven’t been particlulary successful but I’m still in there trying. I can use all the help I can get.
I think the blog has kind of passed on too. Its becoming a reiteration of things already said, and I think maybe the blog has got kind of tired. i will check back once ina a while also, but I doubt I will post every day. All the best to all. I am going to work now, (night shift) – ghastly!!
Friends,
Based on participation, this blog has gone to seed.
I may check back one in a while, but my regular posting is done.
I wish you all success in your quits.
Take a deep breath. Remember when that used to hurt, or put you into fits of coughing? I do. I remember. You must remember too.
Keep on doing it. Do it for yourself. That is THE only way it will ever work.
Be strong, and keep strong.
This is a life-long committment. I’m not ever going back to that bad, dark place. It sucks there. I want no part of it.
How about you, my friend?
